The much-awaited PS4 with 1TB hard drive is already out for preorders. A pricing detail, however, may hint at a price cut for the 500 GB version.
In Europe, the preorder price for the 1TB PS4 is listed at £349.99 (approximately $550) once it is released, Videogamer reported. This price tag has been spotted at different retailers, including Amazon and GAME.
In addition, two other retailers have even listed the new SKU console at a cheaper price, with ShopTo selling it for £339.85 (approximately $535) and GameStop pricing it at £289.97 (approximately $455). Considering that the price point of the new PS4 model is now slightly similar to its 500 GB counterpart, there are speculations that this could mean another price cut for the older version of the console.
There are no reports or confirmations from the company for the possible new price point of the older console as of the moment, so best to take this with a grain of salt until any announcements from Sony. There are no announcements yet for the release date or price point for the 1TB PS4 in the United States.
In the meantime, Sony has released a new batch of games at the PlayStation Store, the PlayStation Blog reported. The new games are predominantly from Japanese developers. These titles include "BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend," "J-Stars Victory VS+" and "Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation."
Other titles coming to the PS4 include "Red Goddess: Inner World" from Spain-based developer Yanim Studio, the previously Ouya-exclusive "Whispering Willows" from indie developer Night Light Interactive, "Quiplash" and "Scrabble."
