A new set of photo alleged to be that of the iPhone 6S was recently leaked on the Internet. The photos show several internal iteration to the iPhone design and sports a full metal casing.
The photo leaked by 9to5Mac shows the external and internal design of the alleged iPhone 6S casing. While not much was changed on the outer design, the internal design has big some big changes to boast. One of the big change is the mounting point where the iPhone 6S' logic board will be mounted.
Initial rumors claiming that the iPhone 6S will have dual-lens camera was debunked after the leaked photo shows a camera cutout that looks very similar to the one in iPhone 6and iPhone 6 Plus. None was changed at the bottom part of the phone which housed the speakers and ports, according to Business Insider.
The leaked photo also shows no changes in terms of the phones' thickness and width. Apple has yet to confirm whether the photos were authentic and there is a big possibility that the final hardware will include additional tweaks.
While the thickness and width remains the same, this does not discredit rumors claiming that the iPhone 6S will have a bigger 5.5-inch screen.
Apple recently filed a patent application that could finally hide the antenna lines on the iPhone's back. Many speculated that the new design will be incorporated to the upcoming iPhone 6S. However, the latest leak proves otherwise since the antenna lines can still be seen on the back of the iPhone.
The iPhone 6S is rumored to have an A9 processor with 2GB of internal memory. The new Force Touch technology present on the Apple Watch is also rumored to be integrated with the upcoming device.
Apple remains quiet about the release date of the iPhone 6S. However, industry analysts are pointing to a possible September release considering the Apple's previous trend in releasing the iPhone.
