With Paul Feig's "Ghostbusters" coming to theaters in 2016, the director has revealed new weapons that will arm the four lady Ghostbusters in the upcoming film.

Feig has recently posted a photo on Twitter featuring the industrial looking proton packs with a caption,  #whatyougonnashoot." The photo got more than 700 re-tweets and more than 700 favorites.

The proton pack serves as the energy weapon utilized by the Ghostbusters for dwindling the ghosts' strengths. In addition, the fictional weapon also aids the titular ghost hunters arrest the ghosts and keep them within the Ghostbusters universe.

The director is passionate in helming the film as he constantly posts film updates on the social media platform, as per Cinema Blend. Previously, the director also posted on twitter the photo of the refurbished costumes the titular team will wear in the film.

Comparing the look of the new weapon with the 1984 version of the proton pack in "Omni" magazine cover, the battery and the particle accelerator have changed their positions, according to Polygon. It can also be noted that the hoster remains over the right shoulder.

"Ghostbusters" stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones as the all-female members of the titular team. Chris Hemsworth will play the Ghostbuster's secretary.

Directed by Feig, "Ghostbusters"  will be produced by Dan Aykroyd, Jessie Henderson, Michelle Imperato, Amy Pascal, Ivan Reitman and Katie Dippold, who will also pen the script. The film is slated to premiere in theaters on July 22, 2016.
