'The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials' Star Dylan O'Brien Hints Plot And Spoilers; Sequel May Have Different Ending From Book?

"The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials" star Dylan O'Brien spilled some major spoilers on what fans can expect on the highly anticipated film. The actor revealed that his character Thomas, along with Teresa (Kaya Scodelario), Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), Minho (Ki Hong Lee), Frypan (Dexter Darden), and Winston (Alexander Flores) will face the terrors waiting for them behind the wall.

In an interview with Hollywire TV, O' Brien revealed that Thomas will be surprised when he finds out what is outside the maze. The actor added that some viewers may think that the story ends now that the group has escaped but the adventure only begins from here. O'Brien hinted that getting out of the maze just may be the worst decision they have ever made. He said that when they are out in the real world it is all about survival, with no walls to protect them. 

"The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials" is set to hit theatres on Sept. 8. According to Empire Online, fans who have read the dystopian novel written by James Dashner will be surprised to see some changes in the film.

Director Wes Ball revealed that they have decided to change the order of the series, with Dashner's blessing. He said that some of the scenes, which were in the first book, have been included in the second movie, while some scenes from the second book ended up in the third movie.

Ball said that they Dashner gave the writers and producers authority to change a few parts of the story. He added that they wanted everyone to look forward to something new and unexpected in the franchise.
