Fans can expect a few trades over the summer this year. Rumor mills are churning out the potential trades. Moreover, due to the top free agents taken from the open market, the rumors only continue to pick up. This time it is Nene and Kosta Koufos.
According to Bleacher Report, the Brazilian player Nene has a class 13-year career record, but he is having a downtime with the Washington Wizards. Moreover, the report stated Nene is expensive and that can be one of the reasons the Wizards are thinking about trading. Also, his numbers have not been stellar in the 2014-15 cycle. He averaged 5.1 rebounds and 11.0 points each game. Nene shot 51.1 percent from the floor.
The speculations suggest that Dallas Maverick may not go for Nene as DeAndre Jordan is set to join the team with a four-year maximum contract, according to ESPN. Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings might go for Nene. Also, Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs cannot be ruled out. However, it will depend on who cannot have LaMarcus Aldridge.
Marc Stein of ESPN tweeted, "Concurrent with their pursuit of David West, I'm told Wizards continue to shop Nene but clinging to hope they can trade him into cap space."
Meanwhile, Kosta Koufos is in the open market after being a part of Memphis Grizzlies for two seasons. Koufos has the option of getting on the roster of a new team through free agency, but according to Adrian Wojnarowski, Memphis might be willing for a sign-and-trade with Koufos.
"Memphis has shown a willingness on sign-and-trades with free agent center Kostas Koufos, an option the Clippers will need to investigate," Wojnarowski tweeted.
