Lang suggested seeking help from the Avengers, but it seems that he realizes that he, too, can help stop Cross' evil plans and decides to grant Pym's request. According to Cinema Blend, Lang's recommendation of bringing the Avengers should be done by Marvel's newest superheroes, as they comprise the core of Marvel's Cinematic Universe.
