Apple is expected to launch the fastest ever iPod Touch soon. The giant technology company is said to announce three new versions on July 14, Tuesday.

The fastest iPod Touch brings the gadget up to date with iPhone developer's other high technology devices. Components of the iPod Touch reportedly have not undergone an update since the launch of the fifth generation products three years ago. The Touch could get a 64-bit processor to replace the current 32-bit processor, making it faster.

The iPod Touch's 5mp camera, as well as the 16, 32, and 64GB storage capacity could undergo upgrading, according to The Telegraph.

In other news, iPod devices (Touch, Shuffle, and Nano) may appear in different color options. Allegedly, the color options that leaked earlier this month in the new iTunes version could include electric blue, fuchsia, pink, grey, gold, and classic black, Business Insider reported.

Apple's move to improve its iPod devices comes in the wake of falling sales of the music player. There is no clear evidence from the company on the number of iPods sold each year.

Available information has it that Apple last unveiled iPod sales in the last quarter of 2014, when it sold approximately 2.6 million units to create revenues of $410 million. As a result, the company obtained total revenues of $42.1 billion in the same period of the financial year.

The launch of new iPod versions comes as the tech giant releases the Beta version of its latest operating system, iOS 9. The development of the new software for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch is supposed to streamline daily activities and become faster and accustomed to user needs.
