The Heroic Legend of Arslan is getting a Warriors/Musou style video game for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 systems.
The story of the game will start with the battle of Atropatene. Elam, Narsus, Daryun and Arslan are confirmed playable characters.
Also, Koei Tecmo has confirmed the addition of warrier priestess Farangis and womanizing thief Gieves to the roster.
A new action in the game is called the "Mardan Rush," which lets players lead a complete army into a big attack to rush down enemies, according to Anime News Network. The new feature will enable players to attack distant opponents, overcome obstacles and rescue allies in strategic gameplay.
The Mardan Rush can be activated once players fulfill specific conditions, and when they do, they will get to deal a great amount of damage with it.
The characteristics of Mardan Rush will change depending on the type of soldiers players select to lead into it, according to Siliconera. For instance, if players have a bunch of archers, they will get to make it rain arrows down on their opponents while providing major support to their allies.
The regular edition of the game will cost around $63 and the digital edition will $54. Koei Tecmo Games will also be releasing a "Treasure Box" edition of Heroic Legend of Arslan that includes an Official Settings Documents Collection, an original soundtrack CD, a cleaner cloth and a crystal frame stand for about $103.
The Heroic Legend of Arslan game is due out for PS 3 and PS4 in Japan on September 17. Pre-orders started on June 11.
