With Warner Bros.' "Green Lantern" coming to the big screen in five years, the studio has released the official title of the upcoming superhero film, "Green Lantern Corps."

The upcoming solo "Green Lantern" film is assumed to feature more than one Green Lantern, as per Cinema Blend. Warner Bros. made the official announcement on July 11 at the Comic-Con Hall H panel, following the discussion of DC Comic's timeline and its connection to the studios' forthcoming titles.

While Warner Bros. has given the official title of the superhero film, there was no announcement on who will play the role of Green Lantern. According to Superhero Hype, "Green Lantern Corps" has vast likelihoods of featuring protagonists like Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, and Guy Gardner.

The official title of the film also implies that "Fast and Furious" actor Tyrese Gibson and "Star Trek" actor Chris Pine can be both seen in the upcoming film. Gibson has posted fan-made images on his Instagram account, which suggested his meetings with Warner Bros. and possible casting as Green Lantern.

Meanwhile, it has been recently reported that Pine will play either Green Lantern or Steve Trevor. However, the actor and the studio have not made any confirmation on what Pine's final role will be.

At this point, Warner Bros. and DC have not announced the person who will occupy the director's seat and helm the superhero film. The film script will be based on the comic book authored by John Broome, Bill Finger, Gil Kane, and Martin Nodell.

Warner Bros.' "Green Lantern Corps" is slated to hit theaters on June 19, 2020.
