"Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is one of the most awaited titles in the franchise. This week, some new updates from developer CyberConnect 2 have been outed via a new interview with studio president Hiroshi Matsuyama.

In the interview spotted by DualShockers, Matsuyama revealed that the story mode will be 10 hours long, which is the same as the predecessor title. Matsuyama was quick to add that the single-player is not the just the only mode that can be played with the game. He hinted that there are other modes, presumably not counted in the 10-hour-long approximation, that have not yet been announced.

He also emphasized that the main story of "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" includes only until "The Last: Naruto The Movie" despite the inclusion of Kaguya. As such, "Boruto the Movie" should not be counted in the Shippuden storyline. The main thing that the developers are trying to do is to ensure that there is fluidity from the third story to the current one.

In terms of battles, the tag system will now be available for both the story and online battles. But this exempts some parts of the story mode, where only one character in the team can be controlled.

Interestingly, the introduction of leader change now allows both the leader and the support to make use of the awakening and secret techniques. Matsuyama even hints that there are certain cases wherein three of the characters in the team can use awakening all at the same time, dubbed as the "link awakening." This goes for all "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" characters as well.

Previously, there was also a new English-subtitled video trailer for "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" that featured the opening song for the title. In the same video, a new playable character, Kaguya Otsutsuki was also featured, Anime News Network reported.

Fans of the franchise know Kaguya as the final villain in the manga version of "Naruto." She is also known to be the first to ever wield the chakra after eating the fruit of the Shinju.

Additionally, the trailer previews the preorder bonuses of the title, including playable characters Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha, a character skin for Kakashi and early access to playable characters Naruto and Sasuke from "The Last: Naruto the Movie." Other freebies that are not in-game that are included in the European release are the Naruto figurine, the exclusive illustrations, an artbook, the collector's box and a FuturePack.
