Google is working with LG and Huawei to release two separate Nexus 2015 smartphones this year. While there are no fresh information available the Huawei variants, the AnTuTu benchmark reports of an alleged LG Nexus 2015 model have surfaced. Its 85,530 AnTuTu scores indicate that it will come out with monstrous specs.

The LG Nexus 2015 is currently under the wraps but the rumor mill has been claiming that device will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 chipset. It is interesting to note that the AnTuTu scores of the purported LG Nexus 2015 has shattered the previous highest benchmarking score of Galaxy S6. The Samsung flagship had obtained a score 68,157 and 52,665 in regular and power saving modes, respectively.

The performance of the LG Nexus 2015 easily outshines the score recorded by the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge that are powered by the Exynos 7420 chipset. Since the LG Nexus 2015 has obtained record shattering scores on AnTuTu, it may not be powered by Snapdragon 810. Rather, it may be housing an even powerful mobile chipset, according to WCCF Tech.

As of this writing, there are only two major competitor chipsets for the Exynos 7420, the Helio X20 SoC from MediaTek and the Snapdragon 820 SoC from Qualcomm. Fresh speculations indicate that the LG Nexus 2015 may be powered by the Snapdragon 820.

The Snapdragon 820 has not been officially released yet. It was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 that was held in March this year. The chipset is known to house 64-bit custom Kyro processor cores that can churn out a processing speed of up to 3.0 GHz, Phone Arena reported.

Readers are suggested to take the rumor of Snapdragon 820 for LG Nexus 2015 with a pinch of salt as manufacturers are known to deliberately tweak the performance of the CPU cores to record higher scores.
