Google Nexus 5 2015 release seems to be on its way as several reports claimed that Huawei and LG will make the two new Nexus smartphones.
Reports that Google will release two new smartphones this year is no longer news as it was previously claimed that the tech giant will tap both Huawei and LG in manufacturing the upcoming handsets.
According to Softpedia, Google dropped the idea of releasing a tablet this year, probably due to the decreasing tablet sales. To make up for the absence of a tablet, Google will reportedly release two Nexus 2015 smartphones.
Some reports claimed that Google will finally enter the phablet category and the other smartphone will be the direct successor of Nexus 6.
It still unconfirmed which company will make phablet, but previous reports claimed that the two smartphones will have almost identical specs. The device codenamed Angler will be manufactured by LG and it will resemble neither the Nexus 5 nor the LG G4. The handset will come with specs and features, including: 5.2 inch screen display, six-core Snapdragon 808 processor by Qualcomm, and 2,700 mAh battery pack.
The other smartphone dubbed as Bullhead by Huawei has a bigger screen display of 5.7 inches. It will be powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC and supported by 3,500 mAh battery. The handset is dubbed as the successor of the current Nexus 6.
The two Nexus 2015 release will reportedly take place in October, while other reports stated that the handsets will be released earlier than expected in order to get ahead of their rivals.
However, Google has not confirmed the aforementioned rumors yet.
