LAPD Still in Look-Out For Rihanna's Alleged Staalker

| Jul 14, 2015 10:47 AM EDT

Rihanna is a world-famous Barbadian singer and songwriter.

Police has sprung into action and is trying to track down Rihanna's alleged stalker, after the "Umbrella" hit maker got a terrifying gun threat on social media.

Recent reports stated that the Los Angeles Police department has zeroed on a Twitter and Yahoo account holder, who goes by the name of Alex Mercer and Ralph Alexander, TMZ reported. The internet user had reportedly posted a selfie of himself outside the singer's home on April 30.

"Should of killed @rihanna a minute back I would be good right now. Sorcery is a weapon I use guns, bout to get a gun license, can't use my hands," tweeted the alleged stalker the next day, which set the alarm bell ringing. On May 6, the Instagram account holder uploaded a picture of gun, along with the caption, "@ChrisBrown don't run."

Police was notified soon, who rushed to the singer's home where the alleged pic was taken. After finding no evidence, the officers are closely monitoring all the suspected social media accounts.

Although, the twitter account from which gun threat was posted is now suspended, the stalker is apparently back online under the new handle and is now targeting Jay Z, too, Daily Mail reported.

This is not Rihanna's first experience with a stalker. Last month,  a man was taken into custody  as he tried to gain entry  to the singer's New York City apartment building.

In another incident, a homeless man was arrested for hand-delivering eerie messages to her apartment in New York. The man was later sent to a psychiatric hospital for treatment after a judge compared him to the man that shot John Lennon.
