Comedian Amy Schumer decided to go with the "Star Wars" theme in her GQ appearance. The "Trainwreck" star was given the freedom to design her own cover.

The GQ cover features Schumer in a Princess Leia inspired bikini top, sucking on C-3PO's finger, CNN reported. More Star Wars-themed photos can be seen in GQ that can be seen inside the magazine. One of the most notable photos of Schumer was her picture in bed, topless with "Star Wars" characters; C-3PO and R2-D2 having post-coital cigarette. There is also a photo of Schumer dancing in line with the Storm Troopers.

The comedian admitted that she is a big "Star Wars" fan. "It was the best, I love 'Star Wars,' my family is crazy about 'Star Wars.' Just nerding out all day," Schumer said. The 34-year-old also commented on some of her photos in the magazine. Talking about the photo of her sucking a lightsaber, she tought it was a little suggestive and said it happened but she did not remembered.

Schumer also said that her topless photo in bed with "Star Wars" characters was a highlight. The comedian added that they really did have sex.

The images which were shot by Mark Seliger are part of an exclusive issue of GQ for August. Schumer was praised by the men's magazine as they called her the funniest woman in the galaxy.

WWE wrestler and "Trainwreck" co-star, John Cena praised Schumer for orchestrating the Star Wars-themed GQ cover. Cena said that Schumer finds ways to recreate and comedy and is not afraid to laugh at herself. The wrestler dubbed the GQ photos as fantastic.

However, the Lucasfilm which holds the signature for "Star Wars" did not sanctioned the cover and use of its "Star Wars" characters. Sources close to Lucasfim said that the movie production company did not authorized GQ to use its characters. Lucasfilm was even surprised of the photo spread of characters with Schumer in Bed.

Schumer's GQ cover was even considered a disappointment for Feminist fans, according to The Guardian. It pointed out the trend of GQ magazine to cover barely-dressed women, sucking things in their mouth. Mila Kunis and Kate Upton have previously covered for the men's magazine and were both wearing bikinis, sucking things in a seductive way.

The commentary said that the photo cover was like a reminder that despite how far the woman has come, even if she is successful and unabashed feminist, there is always someone who would put her back in place and put a finger in her mouth.
