Google is yet to confirm the Google Nexus 5 (2015) release date but it is widely believed to be in October. While many are eagerly waiting for the confirmation, specs of the much-anticipated smartphone have been leaked.
It is rumored that Google has partnered with LG, the second largest handset manufacturer in South Korea, and Huawei, the handset maker in China, for building the upcoming Google Nexus 5 (2015) smartphone.
If the rumors about the Google Nexus 5 (2015) release date are true, LG Nexus and Huawei Nexus still have almost three months before they arrive in the market yet but there is already a heated competition between the two upcoming devices.
A recent leak claimed to reveal the AnTuTu benchmarking results. According to Mobiltelefon.ru, the LG-built Google Nexus 5 (2015) was able to obtain a score of 85,530 points, the highest-ever AnTuTu benchmark scores.
In comparison, the best performing handset of 2015 in terms of benchmarking scores, Galaxy S6, has been able to obtain a score of 68,157 points and 52,665 points in regular mode and in power saving mode, respectively, according to MNR Daily.
As for the Huawei-built Google Nexus (2015), the specs reportedly include a fingerprint scanner, 5.7-inch QHD display and Snapdragon 820 SoC. The yet-to-be-announced device is also said to be equipped with USB Type-C support.
Currently being developed under the code name Bullhead, the LG-built Google Nexus 5 (2015) smartphone specs are expected to include a 5.2-inch screen with 1,440x2,560 pixels. The device is also said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, paired with 3GB RAM.
