Barcelona's Pedro

After completing four acquisitions so far in the current offseason, Manchester United is reportedly not yet done as manager Louis van Gaal intimated the remaining players in his wish list this summer: Barcelona winger Pedro, Bayern Munich forwards Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller, and Real Madrid's winger Gareth Bale.

The Red Devils are currently trying to outbid Chelsea for the services of Spanish international Pedro. The problem, however, is that the reported asking price of £22 million is effective next year if, and only if, Pedro will not be able to play 60 percent of Barça's minutes next season, as per ESPN.

Pedro is Luis Enrique's key substitute to his terrific trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suárez, and the coach is said to be planning on increasing his minutes while extending the rest periods of the three.

If van Gaal insists on 27-year-old now, it would cost the team an incredible £104 million.

As for possible replacements for striker Robin van Persie, United is looking at a pair of forwards from the Bavarians, according to Express. Müller is reportedly the first choice, but van Gaal could settle for Lewandowski if the former is not really available.

Lastly, van Gaal's dream of landing Gale from Real is still alive even if it would reportedly cost him £95 million. The Dutch mentor told reporters about a "surprise" signing before the summer transfers end, which increased the speculations of the Welshman's potential move from the Bernabéu to Old Trafford even louder.

With all the rumors about van Gaal, one thing is clear, though. He is keen on putting United back at the top of the Premier League next season.
