Apple Inc. launched its yearly Back to School Promotion on July 23, offering a free Beats Solo2 On-Ear headphone to qualified students, parents, and teachers after purchasing an authorized Mac.
To qualify and benefit from the promotion, students, parents, and teachers have to purchase the iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or Mac Pro. Excluded from the promotion is the Mac mini and refurbished Macs in addition to the iPhones and iPads, Mac Rumors reported.
Apple will include an immediate credit in the value of $199.95 to compensate the total cost of the Beats Solo2 On-Ear headphones in gloss black, white, red, blue, gray, or pink. Furthermore, the Corporation is offering an alternative to upgrade to Beat Solo2 Wireless On-Ear headphones in space gray, silver, or gold for an additional amount of $100 that is the remaining sum after the $199.95 credit application.
The company conventionally launched its back to school promotion in June or early July, normally targeting the second Tuesday of July for many years subsequently, but this year promotion comes later in July against expectations. Apple has as well moved away from the usual offer of free Apple Store or iTunes gift cards for the first time since its offering of a free iPod touch with an equivalent Mac in 2010.
Meanwhile, this year's deal is applicable in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico now - but there are expectations that other stores globally will follow the same trend during their respective back-to-school promotions, Mashable revealed.
A $200 pair of headphones that are elegant free plus a new computer is something the company imagined would fascinate many students. The offer is 100 percent better than the previous Back to School promotions that cost the company just $100.
