Apple announced on July 23 that it will launch its Back-to-School Promo 2015. The promo was announced on Apple Rebates website.
According to Mac Observer, Apple is offering a free Beats Solo2 On-Ear headphones for anyone who buys a qualified Mac product through educational pricing. The Beats Solo2 On-Ear headphone normally costs $199.95. Customers who wants to get the Beast Solo2 Wireless On-Ear headphone can get it for the promo price of $100.
The promo started immediately after Apple's announcement. However, the offer is only applicable on Apple retail store and other authorized campus stores located in the United States. The promo will not start in Apple's online store and via 1-800-MY-APPLE hotline until Aug. 6. The promo will commence in Canada and Puerto Rico on Aug. 6 as well.
According to Tech Crunch, Apple's educational deal is only open to qualified students, parents of students, school faculty and staff. Qualifying Mac products include the MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro.
The Beats Solo2 On-Ear headphones, which normally costs $199.95, will be available in six color variants; white, pink, red, gray, blue and glossy black. The wireless model of the Beats Solo2 headphone, which normally costs $299.99, are offered in the same color variants as its non-wireless counterpart.
Apple initially started the Back-to-School promo by giving out free iPods. However, the promo has turned lackluster over the past few years and has seen Apple giving out $100 gift cars to its App Store instead of handing out free gadgets and devices.
Apple's Back-to-School Promo 2015 will end on all location and platform on Sept. 18. Apple has yet to announce when the promo will be offered in United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and other European countries which received the promo in the past.
