Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release will not happen anytime soon as company is focusing in promoting the Surface 3 and Surface Pro 3.

It seems that Microsoft has no immediate plans to release the much anticipated Surface Pro 4. The company is working very hard in increasing the sales of Surface 3 and Surface Pro 3 tablets.

First, Surface 3 tablet, which is lesser than the prime Surface Pro line, is now available in LTE version. The tablet was available in WiFi version only since its release.

Now, US carrier AT&T added Surface 3 with built-in LTE support in its roster of offered devices for $599.99 or $499.99 with a two-year service agreement. The carrier also offers a special promo of giving away the tablet for $399.99 when purchased with any Lumia smartphone on AT&T's Next program. Microsoft's Type Cover and Surface Pen accessories are available separately.

On the other hand, Microsoft aims to sell more Surface Pro 3 laplets as the company adds more resellers to sell the device. CRN cited sources familiar to the matter claiming that Microsoft is reportedly widening the Surface tablet reseller base by inviting new channel partners that will exclusively resell the company's flagship tablet.

Moreover, the two tablets received new firmware that herald updates, according to Ubergizmo.

Meanwhile, some of the purported features of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 are: 12-inch screen display with 2K pixel resolution, Intel Skylake processor, stylus, and USB Type-C port. Other rumored features are keyboard accessory, Type Cover 3 and Docking Station.

Recent rumors claimed that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release will be in October, while some reports stated that the new generation of laplet will be announced next year. However, Microsoft has not revealed the official specs and features of the device until now.
