"Gotham" season 2 star David Mazouz has revealed that Bruce Wayne is set to become Batman in the upcoming sophomore season of the crime-drama series developed by Bruno Heller based on DC Comics characters.

During the 2015 San Diego Comic Con, Mazouz talked about how Bruce Wayne uses his allies and the bat-cave and mastered his trademark playboy persona to become the Caped Crusader in "Gotham" second 2, in which The Dark Knight will finally rise.

In "Gotham" season 1, Bruce Wayne found the secret room called the Batcave. In relation to this, Mazouz was asked about how his character transforms into Batman in season 2. He revealed that transformation will happen "in every way possible."

According to Mazouz, Bruce Wayne's discovery of the Batcave in "Gotham" season 1 finale was "a turning point" and it is going to "touch everything" in the character's life. He added that it is going "to turn the page to a different chapter in every imaginable way on his journey to becoming Batman."

While Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) were always butting heads in the first season, the two characters are going to undergo a truly "rough patch" and eventually become a team, Mazouz revealed.

"They're really going to have the Batman/Alfred partnership that you know," Comic Book quoted Mazouz as saying.

In another "Gotham" season 2 spoiler obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Erin Richards talked about her character Barbara Kean, who killed her parents. She said, "That moment where she kills her parents is the moment she sets herself completely free from every tie she ever had, (which includes) her ties to Jim, to society, or maybe even sanity, you could argue."

Joining Mazouz and Richards in the "Gotham" season 2 cast are Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Thompkins and Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, among others.
