Some rumors are saying that iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus release may come sooner than later as Apple and Best Buy give out discounts on some Apple devices that hinted the imminent launching event.
US electronics retailer Best Buy is offering $100 discounts on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Thus, the entry level of the smartphone with 16GB internal storage now costs $99 from its original price of $199. Buyers will have to sign a two-year contract with the carrier.
The iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, is also available in the same three colors, now costs $199 for the 16 GB version. The 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus costs $299, while the 128 GB version is down to $399.
Meanwhile, Apple also started its back-to-school promo that slashes the price of iPad, MacBook and Mac to students and teachers. This annual deal allows anyone with .edu email to avail of discounted Apple devices.
On the other hand, The Wall Street Journal reported that the next generation of iPhone, dubbed as iPhone 6S, will be unveiled later this year. The report added that the smartphone will pack Force Touch feature that will detect pressure and will open a myriad of possibilities for the smartphone. Moreover, the new iPhone will be available in more color options aside from the current silver, gold and space gray variants. Apple is reportedly mulling over the idea of a pink iPhone to appeal to female users.
Some of the purported features of the iPhone 6S are A9 processor, 4 GB of RAM, iOS 9 with software features such as Car Play, Apple Watch, HealthKit, and Apple Pay as well as improved Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
However, Apple has not confirmed the rumors yet.
