The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt New Game Plus Mode

The final free DLC of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” will be officially a New Game Plus (NG+) mode after several weeks of giving away free downloadable content.

Polish game developer CD Projekt Red announced on Facebook that the final piece of free DLC for “The Witcher 3” is on its way, and it is absolutely free. Although the New Game Plus mode will not happen this week, the game developer said that they still need a little more time to refine the overall game content but rest assured that players will be updated from time to time.

NG+ is described as an unlockable video game mode after completing a game. It allows the gamers to start from the beginning but still keeping the stats, items, experiences, and gears, PC Gamer reported. This explanation is relevant to players since CD Projekt has not yet specified the exact features, quest, and add ons of The Witcher 3 New Game Plus. Normally, the enemies in NG+ are scaled to player’s level.

Recently, the Polish game developer has launched the patch 1.07 for “The Witcher 3”, adding a lot of new content including an alternative movement response mode for Geralt, performance enhancements, a player stash, and more.

The final piece of DLC for The Witcher 3 is part of the 16 pieces of free DLC, which CD Projekt promised to players before the game’s official launch. The game has two beefed up expansions, similar length to “The Witcher 2”. The first expansion (Heart of Stone) will be released this coming fall and the other one (Blood & Wine) will arrive in the first quarter of 2016. The combination of two explains result to thirty more hours to the game, according to Eurogamer.
