Dual SIM smartphones have been greatly appreciated recently and some of the top mobile vendors are diversifying their handsets for the users. Samsung released its dual SIM Galaxy A7 in January, and Sony announced the release of Xperia C4 Dual, both are dual SIM models.
Highlighting the devices’ specifications will give interested buyers an idea what they can expect from the newly released handsets of these two tech giants.
Sony Xperia C4 Dual runs under Android 5.0 Lollipop, while Samsung Galaxy A7 is still on Android 4.4.4 KitKat but an OS update is now on its way. Xperia C4 Dual uses a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor and the graphics is Mali-T760MP2. Galaxy A7 features a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor chipset. while the graphics is under Adreno 405.
As for the display, both handsets offer 5.5-inches screen display. Galaxy A7 features a Super AMOLED screen with Full HD, with 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution. Its rectangular and slim body is metal-made, and comes with three colors to choose from: Champagne Gold, Pearl White, and Midnight Black. On the other hand, Xperia C4 Dual sports an IPS LCD display with anti-scratch coating. The device uses Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 that maximizes the screen display, offering 1920 x 1080 screen resolution and making the images sharper and more vibrant. Xperia C4 Dual comes in three colors: White, Black and Mint.
These two dual SIM devices offer 2GB of RAM. Galaxy A7 has a 16GB internal memory and can be expanded up to 64GB. Xperia C4 Dual also offers a 16GB internal memory but the external expansion can be increased up to 128GB.
Both handsets feature 13MP main camera and 5MP front camera. Both cameras have LED flash, autofocus, panorama, HDR, and video capture at 1080p at 30fps, according to Boosh Articles. Galaxy A7’s 2600mAh battery offers 17 hours of talking time via 3G, while Xperia C4 Dual same battery capacity offers 11 hours and a half. Both batteries are non-removable.
Interested buyers can avail Samsung Galaxy A7 via Amazon for $439.96, while Sony Xperia C4 Dual costs $379 in the United States, Phones Review reported.
