Fresh pictures of the Galaxy S6 Mini have emerged indicating that the handset may be ready for release on Aug. 21.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini pictures indicate that the South Korean tech giant has been silently working on a mini version of the Galaxy S6 flagship. The leaked pictures suggest that the handset will be sporting a premium appeal as it will sport a metal and glass chassis like the Galaxy S6, Phone Arena reported.
In terms of appearance, the handset bears an uncanny resemblance with the larger model. Even the positioning of ports on both the devices is at same place, GSM Arena reported.
There is a SIM card compartment located on one of its edges. However, there is no confirmation on the inclusion microSD card slot and replaceable battery.
The alleged Galaxy S6 Mini specifications include a display of 4.6-inch or 4.7-inch with support for HD resolution. It will be loaded with Snapdragon 808 SoC that comes with a 64-bit six cores processor and Adreno 418 graphics coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The main camera of the device is expected to be of 15 MP.
Samsung had kept the Galaxy S6 Active a secret and had launched it silently. In the same way, the Galaxy S6 Mini may be rolled without much hype. Since the handset appears ready for shipping, it is expected to come out with the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. All the three handsets are pegged to release on Aug. 21.
