Motorola Unveils Three New Smartphones; Moto G, Moto X Play And Moto X Style

Motorola recently announced three new smartphones that will be released on its lineup. The three devices are the Moto G, Moto X Play and Moto X Style which will be marketed in the United States under a different name, Moto X Pure Edition.

According to USA Today, the Moto X Pure Edition is the high-end device of the three and is expected to fetch a price tag of $399.99. It has a 5.7-inch display with Quad HD resolution and a fast charging battery that the company claims can last for a whole day. It also has a 21-megapixel rear facing main camera and a 5-megapixel front facing secondary camera.

The phone also supported by the Moto Maker design studio which means that owners of the smartphone can create their own customization that best fits their taste.

Additionally, the US version of the phone will be released in all the four big wireless networks and will sold though Motorola's online store, Best Buy and Amazon. The phone will not be available through physical stores of its respective network.

On the other hand, the Moto G sports a water-resistant body and is the budget-friendly device of the trio. The smartphone comes in at an unlocked price of $179.99 and will be released in carrier stores in August. The phone is powered by a chipset from Qualcomm and has a 5-inch display.

The Motorola Moto X Play has a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. The smartphone has a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset composed of a Cortex-A53 Quad core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and a Cortex-A53 Quad core processor clocked at 1.0GHz. The device has 2GB of RAM and comes in two storage variants, 16GB and 32GB which can be both expanded via the microSD slot.

The Moto X Style and Pure Edition will be released in September. The Moto X Play will be released in August, according to CNet.
