The Moto G (3rd Gen) is now available for purchase in several markets across the globe. Motorola has added interesting feature to its new budget smartphone. Here are those reasons that can compel Moto G (2014) owners to upgrade to Moto G (2015).
Moto Maker
Buyers can customize the Moto G (3rd Gen) before purchasing it by using the Moto Maker tool that was previously only available for Moto X line of smartphones. Such a customization feature is not available for Moto G (2014)
Water-Resistant Chassis
The IPX7 rating makes the device resistant to water contact. The older model does not have water-resistant properties, Phandroid reported.
New Chipset
The Moto G (2015) has arrived with Snapdragon 410 chip that comprises of 1.4 GHz quad-core CPU. The Snapdragon 400 SoC of Moto G (2014) features 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU.
RAM Options
The Moto G (3rd Gen) with 8 GB storage is enabled with 1 GB of RAM whereas the 16 GB model features 2 GB of RAM. The older model also comes in two storage variants of 8 GB and 16 GB, but both of them feature 1 GB of RAM.E
Enhanced Cameras
The Moto G (2nd Gen) has 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front-facing camera. However, the newer device is featuring a 13 MP shooter along with dual-LED lash. The selfie camera of the Moto G (2015) is of 5 MP, Techno Buffalo reported.
Larger Battery
A 2,070 mAh battery is present inside the Moto G (2014). However, the new Moto G (3rd Gen) has a bigger battery of 2,740 mAh.
