Taj Gibson is making his case for the Sixth Man Award

Chicago Bull is looking for a backup for Joakim Noah because of Nazr Mohammed's retirement, having played for 17 years in the NBA.

Chicago Bulls still has several options on the free agency backup including 7'0" Ja Vale McGee, 7'0" Earl Barron, 6'10" Greg Smith, and 7'0" Jerome Jordan, Crossmap unveiled. An option that Chicago Bulls is eyeing is putting Taj Gibson on the trading lineup in exchange for a backup center, a superstar who can support the post outside Joakim Noah - the only genuine center down the lineup for the team.

Reasons for Considering Taj Gibson

The Bulls never experienced issues placing somebody in the power of forward position at any moment. According to Bleacher Report, Bulls have the 2002 NBA Rookie of the Year and the superstar for five consecutive times, 7'0" Pau Gasol who can hold the center position but in most cases plays the power forward.

The power forward still has other options within the team. For example, there is 6'10" Nikola Mirotic, named 2014 Spanish King's Cup MVP and 2013 Spanish League MVP, as well as this year's rookie Bobby Portis.

The only likely reason Taj Gibson may be on the trading table is because he is resourceful for the team, and his replacement is of high level.

There is also a possibility that Bulls will try to place Kirk Hinrich on the trading table; however, because the league appears to be headed on a quick play, the move could expose any interested team to high risks since the player is aged 34, Hinrich could be heading to the peak of his career.

Similarly, Chicago Bulls has no skilled relievers on the guard position apart from Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. Therefore, only Aaron Brooks and Hinrich can fill the general court position, and Tony Shell and E'Twaun Moore can serve as the best guards on the roster.

The only chance for Bulls to emerge successfully is through getting the right center or point/shooting guard by passing up one of its power forwards, and the only possibility to have a win-win case is by trading Taj Gibson.
