Football Transfer News & Rumors: Louis Van Gaal Admits David De Gea Wants To Leave Man United

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal shakes the hand of goalkeeper David de Gea.

It looked like Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal had already given up on the team's primary goalkeeper David de Gea after they lost to Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain in their final game of the 2015 International Champions Cup friendly tournament.

PSG went on to win the North America Cup while the Red Devils are left with a lot to ponder upon for the upcoming season, although the 63-year-old Dutch coach was reportedly satisfied about their US tour experience.

Sitting in front of reporters for the post-game interview, van Gaal said that he is resigned to the idea that de Gea may really want to leave United for Real Madrid this season, according to ESPN.

The two early goals that the Spain international gave up during the PSG match may have been an indication of disgruntlement with the Old Trafford residents. Yet van Gaal did not take it against his ward.

"That's not poor. Everybody can make mistakes but when a goalkeeper makes a mistake it usually ends in a goal and that's the difference," van Gaal said. "We have a situation that is not favorable for David de Gea but neither for us or the club. Maybe he wants to go."

The Red Devils' mentor is reportedly okay about de Gea transferring to the Bernabéu, as long as Real is going to include defender Sergio Ramos in the deal, as reported by BBC Sport.

Ramos had recently been given a five-year contract extension by Los Blancos worth €10 million annually, €2 million lower than what United was offering the Spanish center back.

Real had not placed any offer for de Gea as of the moment as they have rejected a €40-million bid by United for Ramos.
