Hulk Hogan's friend and WWE star Roddy Piper died on July 30 at the age of 31.

In 2014, the late WWE legend Roddy Piper seemed to imply that openly gay WWE producer Pat Patterson Pat Patterson had molested him early in his wrestling career.

In an interview with Sean Oliver of Kayfabe Commentaries, Piper recounted the year 1984 in WWF history, which includes what had happened to him and Patterson, who he said does not like him, when he was younger.

In the interview, Oliver asked Piper if he was forced to, to which the latter responded, "No." After the video became controversial, Piper claimed that the interview was misinterpreted considering that he never directly claimed that he was molested or raped by Patterson.

Piper died from cardiac arrest in his sleep on July 30, Thursday. His body was discovered at his Hollywood home the day after. Prior to his death, he defended Hulk Hogan amid the racism scandal involving his friend.

In 1985, Hogan and Piper battled at "Wrestlemania I." Devastated over Piper's death, Hogan recently told TMZ Sports, "I will forever miss him. He was my best friend. He is a legend."

As an actor, Piper made his debut in 1978 romantic comedy "The One and Only" but was uncredited. He went on to star in TV movies "The Highwayman" and "Summerslam" in the 1908s, when he and Hogan were two of the biggest wrestling stars.

In 2014, Piper starred in "The Reconciler" and "Other Plans." It has also been announced that he will be in the TV movie "Gorilla" and "Tales of the Wicked Unseen."
