Popular English singer, actress and TV presenter Cilla Black was found dead on Aug. 1 in her private villa near the Costa del Sol resort in Marbella, Spain. She was 72.

The news of the Black's death was given by her agent, Nick Fiveash. The exact cause of her death is yet unknown, though, it appears to be due to the natural causes. She was reportedly suffering from crippling arthritis and hearing problems from the past few months.

The Liverpool-born singer, whose real name was Priscilla Maria Veronica White, had flown to Spain last week with the eldest of her three sons and was staying at her holiday home, The Telegraph reported. Her body was discovered by her son who went into her bedroom when she did not respond to his repetitive calls.

Black was found lying on the sun terrace next to her bedroom and it seems that she had a nasty fall as she emerged from an air-conditioned room into the midday heat and lost her balance. Police has not suspected any foul play as of now, considering her deplorable health condition.

Tributes are pouring in all over the world over the "Something Tells Me" singer since the news of heath became official.

"She was a lovely girl who infected everyone with her great spirit," said Paul McCartney in a statement, further adding that she was a great "pleasure to be around."

"Please tell me this isn't true? We've been friends for nearly 20 years," Anglo-Irish comedian, Paul O'Grady told Liverpool Echo before adding that he has just met her on his birthday in June.

United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron has also paid his tribute to the gifted singer and actress along with the Hollywood bigwigs, Piers Morgan and Russell Crowe.
