Critic Says ‘Angry Birds 2’ Updates is Worse Than Original

Angry Birds 2 was launched on July 30 on iOS and Android.

A game critic wrote that the "Angry Birds 2" is getting worse in whatever updates its creator makes. The article pointed out that the original version of the game is better than the second version.

According to Dave Thier in an article in Forbes, the second version makes him think that the original game's success is just mere luck.

Thier compared the game to "Plants vs. Zombies 2".  According to him, both games are incredibly popular and both games are turned into free-to-play and both completely wiped out everything that he likes about the games old versions. He added that the second version of Rovio's "Angry Bird" is a "shame".

The critic pointed out the good enhancements on the game. According to him, some levels adds fun new ways that can be added to the old game, but in overall the enhancements fall totally flat without the puzzle game structure of the original game.

According to Fortune, there have been 11 versions of the game in between the game's first release in 2009 and its latest version. Rovio labeled this latest version as the "sequel" of the original game.

The site also added that early reviews of the game are positive. Most of the negative comments say that the company created the second game not to benefit the public but for the company to increase profit.

The game was officially launched on iOS and Android on July 30.  Forbes cited that the game currently is the number one free downloaded game on iTunes but it is number 54 on the top grossing chart.
