Headquartered in Cupertino, Calif., Apple Inc. designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, online services, and personal computers.

Tech giant Apple announced that it will release an updated build of the iOS 8.4.1 to registered developers. The iOS 8.4.1 beta 2 has a build number 12H318 and can be tested on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.

According to 9to5Mac, the new beta build of iOS 8.4.1 was released just two weeks after the first version was released. The new beta build is expected to contain mostly software and under-the-hood changes. Visual or user interface upgrades are expected to be minimal.

Based on previous X.X.1 updates released by Apple, the new update is most like to include several bug fix, security updates and improvements with regards to performance issues.

When the initial iOS 8.4.1 build was released in the latter part of June, it integrated the Beats 1 and Apple Music streaming services to the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Analysts were positive that the new build will contain software update or patch to these newly added features.

The new update will be rolled out over the air. Eligible users can download it by checking the Software Update section under the Settings app of their iOS device. The new update can be downloaded directly from the Apple Developer Center, according to Mac Rumors.

For registered developers, they must first download initial iOS 8.4.1 build and then update it to acquire the iOS 8.4.1 beta 2 via OTA.

Many experts consider the iOS 8.4.1 to be the last iOS update before Apple decides to roll out its successor, the iOS 9. Apple's iOS 9 is expected to be released in September and some registered developers have already started to test the upcoming operating system.
