OnePlus 2 has been hyped in different ways from sample phones endorsed by YouTube personalities to teasers from the company itself. However, one of the biggest teasers despite all the hype is the fact that the OnePlus 2 still maintains its exclusive appeal.
This is done via the invites system, which is the only way by which a fan can order and obtain the company's latest flagship. Yet it appears that one individual managed to crack the code for the invites system, in an attempt to get ahead of everyone else on the list.
This was done with the use of the Python software, wherein one Jake Cooper made the system think that he was referring other users, Android Authority reported. Because of this, he jumped over 330,000 positions ahead of him to obtain a 1,694 position among the 1.5 million users. What is notable is that Cooper had alerted OnePlus of this vulnerability, though no detail on what exactly occurred following the reveal.
Currently, there are two legal ways by which fans can get into the invites system. The first is to be one of the many early backers of its previous flagship, the OnePlus One. A second, more common method is through the registration list, where over 1.5 million users are currently queued in.
The invites system is not even a sure way to obtaining a OnePlus 2, especially when one's queue number on the registration list can even change in reference to referrals.
The hype for the OnePlus 2 is undeniably, if these photos of the numerous launch all over the globe are to be the basis. OnePlus offered fans a glimpse of the different launch events over at the OnePlus Blog.
OnePlus 2 was launched in nine different cities, all of which showed a turnout that was far more than what the company had expected. In New Delhi alone, over 1,200 fans queued up to see the OnePlus 2 firsthand.
In every city in Europe that OnePlus went to, there was a queue or a gathering of fans who clamored to get a hands-on demo of the device. In Paris and in San Francisco, over 400 people came in both of the events to see the pop-up OnePlus experience event.
One fan was even able to capture the pop-up experience in Jakarta, as seen in the video below. The OnePlus 2 is showcased in the clip, where some features like the camera and the interface, as well as overall look of the phone are explored.
