Game publisher EA and game developer DICE have been raining teasers for "Star Wars Battlefront," the latest of which is the image of the X-wing. More than just the vehicle, the teaser hints at a new mode coming with the caption preparing players for possible 'take off."
Because of the image, fans suddenly expressed excitement, responding left and right that it might be a teaser for a space battle. Still, EA confirmed via its official Facebook page that it will be focusing on air battles and dog fights on Earth rather than space.
Earlier, EA has detailed the Blast Deathmatch mode, which features a 10-VS-10 setup for battles. The Blast Deathmatch mode is EA's answer for fans who want a more challenging mode for "Star Wars Battlefront." What it does is to let the Rebels and the Imperial factionists face off with the goal of reaching 100 kills the fastest. In case this primary goal is not achieve within the 10-minute time limit per round, the team with the higher number can claim to be the winner.
Given the time limit and the competition for most kills, Blast is expected to be one of the more exciting, adrenaline-driven modes in the game. Apart from the rush experience, Blast will also showcase a level of unpredictability in terms of opponents. There will be levels in the mode that vary in gameplay and enemies, allowing "Blast" to be more than just a first-to-kill-and-win mode.
"One battle you'll be fighting within interior levels on Endor or Sullust. In the next battle, you might find yourselves among Tatooine's dusty canyons, or inside the undeniably cool Ice Caves on Hoth," said Dennis Brannvall, lead level designer for "Star Wars Battlefront" via the official website.
Enemies will also be close by, as the Blast map will try to pit players against enemies in a close-quarter environment. The key besides a good strategy is to make use of weapons-or at least be vigilant in finding weapons that are strewn all over the map.
"Star Wars Battlefront" will land on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 17.
