| Aug 05, 2015 09:00 AM EDT

Tom Holland will play Spider-Man in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo’s “Captain America: Civil War.”

Spider-Man is reported to be dorky in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's "Captain America: Civil War."

According to Birth Movies Death, Spider-Man will be involved in a key battling sequence in the Russos' film. The fight sequence has been already filmed and it has been reported that Spider-Man's battle with his foe will be different from other battle scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sources also said that Spider-Man would look odd and behave ridiculously among other superheroes in the Russos' film. This angle is logical, as the web-slinger will be featured as a high school student who is trying to cope with his superhero powers and abilities, as per Cinema Blend. Though Spider-Man is set to be "dorky," it is assumed that he will be able to cope up in the long run.

Fans have already seen Spider-Man fight the giant lizard in Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man" as well as Electro and Green Goblin in Webbs' "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." While it has been reported that the web-slinger's battling in the Russos film will set a variation from other Marvel films, exact details on how it will be different has not been confirmed.

Tom Holland is playing the role of the iconic superhero. Jon Watts is set to helm the film while John Francis Dailey and Jonathan M. Goldstein are on board to pen the script. The writers also previously revealed that their version of Spider-Man will be amusing and crafty, despite of being a bore and a loner.

Directed by Watts, "Spider-Man" film is set to premiere in theaters on July 28, 2017.
