According to reports, the tech giant Google will team up with the electronics maker LG to launch Android Pay and LG Nexus 5 (2015) in the forthcoming months. The most popular Nexus 5 was made by LG and several Android fans have been demanding for an updated version of the smartphone ever since the  expensive and big Nexus 6 was released last year. Several leaks have confirmed that we will see a successor to the Nexus 5.

LG will roll out the next Nexus smartphone in the month of October. Reports also suggest that the Android M operating system will launch with Nexus 5 (2015).

Apart from its partnership with LG, the search giant Google has partnered up with Chinese manufacturer Huawei to manufacture the next Nexus smartphone, according to Know Your Mobile. LG would make 5.2-inch Nexus and Huawei 5.7-inch Nexus smartphones, respectively.

According to several reports, the new Nexus smartphone will have a 3,180 mAh battery and 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage. Other features include a Sony IMX278 sensor with f/1.8 aperture lens, USB Type C and 5.2″ 1080p P-OLED panel. The Nexus 5 2015 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 620, GizmoChina reported.

Google is a late starter in simple payment services compared to Samsung and Apple. However, the search giant is determined to increase its market share via its market power marked by 60% domination in the mobile operating systems market.

Samsung Pay is compatible with Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC), while Android Pay is compatible with (NFC). Hence, it is expected that Samsung Pay will be more competitive than Android Pay.
