Apple appears all set to unleash the big one - the duo of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus - in early September 2015 as a new report indicate that the tech giant is hosting an event on the 7th of the same month. That occasion is said to be followed by the devices' actual release date on the 9th amidst a contradicting report that mass production of the flagship has hit a snag.

Online news site Buzz Feed is saying in a report that Apple will have a briefing on September 7 that likely will see the introduction of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus replacements. Two days after, the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will become available although it was unclear if the Cupertino-based will merely start taking orders for delivery at a later date or the handsets will actually hit the Apple Store on September 9.

John Paczkowski of Buzz Feed also reported that other products aside from the 2015 iPhones will be unveiled. Mentioned were the iPad refresh, likely to be composed of the 7.9-inch iPad Mini 4 that according to recent reports is practically a duplicate of the iPad Air 2, largely mimicking the build, specs and features of the bigger iPad only in shrunken form.

The Air 2 is also expected to be bumped off by the iPad Air 3 though little details are known about the sequel for now. It could be that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will also be previewed in the same event but this happening is something of "a wildcard," Paczkowski said.

The scoop also claimed that the redesigned Apple TV will be uncloaked and among the killer features to expect are the following: an A8 processing chip, a touch screen remote and the set-top's integration with Siri via iOS 9.

Yet the latest Apple development broke as Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities issued a new note that says the ongoing large-scale iPhone production was delayed by up to 14 days. Kuo, however, did not mention the specific cause or causes of the delay.

But the analyst, according to Phone Arena, stressed that Apple's September 2015 release date plans for both the 6S and 6S Plus will go ahead as scheduled. The well-known Apple insider also revealed that the tech giant is set to hold an event on September 11 then seven days after the new handsets will have their commercial.

It should be noted that Kuo's rollout forecast is nine days late from the projections offered by Paczkowski. Regardless, the latest information remains in line with the expectation that the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus release date this 2015 will happen earlier than the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus last year. A number of Apple watchers are convinced that the devices will be out by mid-September.
