The anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with a flexible display.

Samsung is rumored to advance the Galaxy Note 5 release date this 2015, likely getting out the flagship phablet by September, but prior to its unveiling some key features of the devices leaked out. The supersized phone is said to be slightly cheaper than Note 4 and more.

In a report by tech blog site G4Games, it was suggested that in selected markets, the fifth version of the original phablet from Samsung will sell at a lower price compared to its immediate predecessor. In Taiwan, for instance the Note 5 originally retailed at around $755 (still pricey) but the sequel will have a price cut.

Once it is unboxed, the Note 5 will sport a $786 sticker price also in the same market or savings of $31. Now it is unclear if Samsung will apply the same in other markets as there was no mention how much buyers in the United States will have to pay to take home the second flagship from the South Korean tech giant.

Now pulling down the price tag of its upscale smartphones is not surprising at all as the company was reportedly planning to shave off the price points of both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge despite the kits just a few months old. Now the explanation for the welcome move is make the device fly off the shelves and hopefully realized higher earnings.

Samsung has indicated that it might provide significant discounts on the S6 and S6 Edge following its latest financial report that again was generally a disappointment. The company remains the dominant Android device maker in the world but its income is steadily shrinking.

And the Note 5 may just provide the relief that the Asian tech titan is searching for. To start luring in more buyers, a lower than the usual price point may just do the trick though admittedly the figures mentioned above are far from tempting.

Or smartphone buyers could be convinced to for the Note 5 as the G4Games report also claimed that the device will likely come with a dual-SIM tray that also serves as a memory card expansion tray. So technically and if the same blog report will prove correct, the Galaxy Note 5 will feature dual-SIM capabilities and provision for extra memory.

However, the two features cannot be enjoyed at the same time as sliding a microSD card on the same tray will leave no room for the second SIM.

As for the actual timing of the Galaxy Note 5 release date, Android Authority just showcased what it claimed as the full packaging of the Samsung phablet in 32GB variant plus its purported specs and features, thereby suggesting that the appointed time is real soon.
