Tom Holland will play Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War."

Spider-Man will wear his iconic suit in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's "Captain America: Civil War."

While Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously said that Spider-Man's suit in the upcoming film would not be the same as the superhero's former incarnations, the studio has opted not to excessively alter the costume, as per Cinema Blend. This is due to the fans' recognition of Spider-Man's traditional suit in the earlier Spider-Man films.

According to Comic Book, there could be more than one costume for the iconic friendly superhero. While there were reports of black and red suit, like what Miles Morales donned in the Comics, it has also been reported that the superhero will also don the traditional blue and red colored suit.

Tom Holland is playing the role of the iconic superhero in the Russos' upcoming film and in Jon Watts' "Spider-Man" solo film. According to writers John Francis Dailey and Jonathan M. Goldstein, their version of Spider-Man will be amusing and crafty, despite of being a bore and a loner.

"Captain America: Civil War" centers on the superhero registration act, which was set by the government following an appalling incident caused by super powered beings. The act forces superheroes to make their identities known to the government and to the public. This forms a conflict between and Iron Man, who is in favor of the law, and Captain America, who disagrees with the law.

Spider-Man was reported to be in Iron Man's team, which includes War Machine, Vision, and Ant-Man. On the other hand, Captain America's team will include Hawkeye, Black Widow, Falcon, and Scarlet Witch.

Directed by the Russos, "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016 while Watts' "Spider-Man" solo film is slated to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
