Prominent leaker Evan Blass, known for Twitter handle @evleaks, is once again the talk of the tech community after the leaking the alleged upcoming device from China-based smartphone manufacturer Huawei.
The leak features a set of images of the smartphones large screen which many believe to be the successor of the hugely successful Huawei Ascend Mate. Not much was revealed about the device aside from its rumored specs and its released date which is believed to be on Sept. 2 at the 2015 IFA Conference in Berlin.
The Ascend Mate is Huawei's flagship device in the phablet market. The device is well known for its large display as well as long lasting battery.
According to Android Authority, the upcoming device from Huawei will be released as part of the D series as previously believed. The device is rumored to feature the new Force Touch feature. However, Blass later revealed that the rumors were unconfirmed.
According to Phone Arena, if the rumors are true, the upcoming device from Huawei will be in par with the latest iPhone. Apple introduced the Force Touch technology with its flagship wearable device, the Apple Watch.
The leaked images also show that the device's display will be bezel-less. The phone's front panel does not have any physical button. The phone's back panel features the famed Huawei branding, the primary camera and its LED flash. Just below the flash housed the square-shaped fingerprint scanner.
Additional rumors claim that the device will feature an octa-core 2.2GHz HiSilicon Kirin processor with a Mali T624 graphics processing unit supported by 3GB of internal memory. The display can support 1080p resolution. It has a 13-megapixel camera. The phone will have 64GB of storage space with microSD card support yet to be confirmed.
