DC's Legends of Tomorrow, or simply Legends of Tomorrow, is an upcoming American television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, who also executive produce with showrunner Phil Klemmer, and Sarah Schechter.

CW will release DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" to expand its superhero universe. It will be a 15-episode series that will highlight several characters from "The Flash" and "Arrow".

Phil Klemmer, "Legends of Tomorrow" series show runner, revealed how the team was able to put together numerous characters without causing bloody chaos.

During the San Diego 2015 Comic Con, Klemmer told The Hollywood Reporter"We made the present so screwed up and uninhabitable for these characters that they had to literally get onto a spaceship and go to another time just so they wouldn't be killed either by their friends or enemies."

Klemmer added that the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow" series will be more like "Dirty Dozen" or "Ocean's Eleven," where a group composed of opposing anti-heroes need to unite to achieve one common goal.

"Legends of Tomorrow" executive director Marc Guggenheim also shared that he invited the writers of the series to review Dan Jurgens' work "Time Masters: Vanishing Point." This comic book, which was published in 2001 featured several crucial rules regarding time travel.

Guggenheim wanted to emphasize to the "Legends of Tomorrow" team that time travelling has its own set of rules and one very important thing to execute is never to leave anything behind so as not to inflict change in the timeline, Screen Rant reported.

The upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow" DC series is to feature elements from J.M. DeMatteis and Keith Giffen's "Justice League International," which suggests that the team could have a comedic tone.

DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" is said to commence shooting within the year and is targeting a 2016 debut.
