Well-known leaker that goes by the Twitter handle @OnLeaks recently posted a set of what was believed to be that of the upcoming iPad Mini 4. Based on the leak, the upcoming tablet from Apple might be the thinnest device the company will ever produce by the time it hits the market.
According to Apple Insider, the purported iPad Mini 4 will be around 6.1 millimeters thin if the schematics posted by @OnLeaks were to be believed. By comparison, the iPad Mini 3 is 7.5 millimeters thin. The upcoming tablet from Apple also looks hauntingly familiar with the company's current flagship tablet which is the iPad Air 2.
Many tech analysts consider @OnLeaks as a reliable source when it comes to new information pertaining to upcoming devices, especially from Apple. The leakster has established his reputation after accurately predicting devices such as the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 5S.
Despite several leaks have already surfaced speculating about the iPad Mini 4's dimensions, no information was revealed regarding the device's specs. Rumors claim that the upcoming device will sport the same 8-megapixel camera embedded on the iPad Air 2. There are speculations claiming that the device will also have specs which are similar to the current iPad Air 2.
Apple is scheduled to have a major launch event on Sept. 2. While the company has kept its silence regarding what devices will be announced in the event, this did not deter speculators from claiming that the company will finally unveil the highly anticipated iPhone 7 and the redesigned Apple TV.
As for its tablet range, Apple is also expected to unveil the iPad Mini 4 as well as the iPad Air 3, according to Techno Buffalo.
