The Cast Of 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air'

The classic '90s sitcom, "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air," is set to make a comeback on the small screen with a present day reboot with its original lead actor, Will Smith, leading the charge as producer.

Overbrook Entertainment, the "Hitch" actor's entertainment company, is reported to be working on the project, which is still in the early stages of development, TV Line reported. Although, it is still not confirmed, but the actor, who is known to have kick-started his career with the hit NBC series, is likely to cast his teenage son, Jaden Smith, in the lead role in the show's present day reboot.

NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt declared at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills that as of now, the network is not involved with the project, though, he will "be happy to talk to Will [Smith] about it."

Will is going to serve as executive producer of the show in partnership with James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett and Jada Pinkett-Smith.

It will be interesting to see Jaden stepping in his father's shoes to play the role of the famous street smart teenager, who is forced to move in with a wealthy family living in Bel-Air mansion, which leads to clashes of culture and hilarious events, though, the cast of the upcoming reboot is not yet revealed officially.

Meanwhile, Jaden is busy preparing to showcase his musical skills in the Netflix original series "The Get Down," which will cover a group of creative teenagers growing up in the South Bronx in the 1970s and how the city became the birthplace of hip-hop culture, MTV reported.

The 17-year-old teenager is joined by an impressive cast that includes "Paper Towns" star Justice Smith, Shameik Moore, Skylan Brooks and Tremaine Brown Jr. The show is slated to debut in 2016.
