On Aug. 16 was the 2015 Teen Choice Award, where Chloe Lukasiak finally beat Maddie Ziegler in the Choice Dancer category.

Lukasiak, former dancer of the Lifetime reality show "Dance Moms," had initially talked about her poor relationship with Maddie Ziegler and explained the reasons behind leaving the reality show.

Both Lukasiak and Ziegler were on the roster of dancers vying for the Choice Dancer title at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. Lukasiak looked at the competition against Ziegler as not being different from other competitions that the two have had before.

Talking to Ok! Magazine, Lukasiak said, "It's not really different than anything else. I've always competed against her my whole life. She was possibly my biggest rival in the competition world."

According to Jezebel, the Teen Choice Award is an annual celebration whereby advertisement executives get kids to shout as Teens choice their favorite personality. On Aug. 16, Sunday night, youths chose Lukasiak over "Dance Moms" sensation Maddie Ziegler for the Choice Dancer.

Lukasiak, who is always a beloved dancer for fans, acknowledged all fans and her former dance trainers including Abby Lee Miller, who always pitted Ziegler and Lukasiak against each other. Teacher Miller had been against Lukasiak whereby she verbally attacked her and made jokes concerning her "lazy eye."

Prior to the Teen Choice Award , Lukasiak had acknowledged her passion for dancing and how an amazing opportunity it was to dance on television and travel all over the globe with her best friends. Her optimism to beat Ziegler during the award came to reality amid tears of joy.

Lukasiak said, "Thank you to all my fans. I wouldn't be where I am without you. You mean the world to me."
