New reports claimed that MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 release is pushed back early next year as Apple wants to focus on the new iPad Pro.
While the tech giant has not confirmed the existence of iPad Pro, but rumors are getting clearer and claimed that Apple wants to concentrate on the larger tablet. This hinted that the new tablet is a hybrid device and releasing a new line of Apple's ever-so popular MacBook laptops may cannibalize the iPad Pro sales.
It was initially reported that MacBook Air, Pro 2016 will be released in October, which is the original release date of iPad tablets. However, if rumors proved to be true, there is a chance that MacBook Air and Pro 2016 will be launched alongside Apple TV and iMac.
Aside from MacBook Air and Pro 2016, Apple will also reportedly let go iPad Air 3. According Taiwanese publication Economic Daily, there will be no iPad Air 3 this year in order to focus on the 12.9-inch "iPad Pro", and to remove some pressure on Foxconn, Apple's main manufacturing partner, which is working on Apple's iPhone as well.
Thus, Apple will release iPad Mini 4 alongside iPad Pro. This is to cast a spotlight to the iPad Pro. iPad Mini 4 is the successor of Apple's miniature tablet.
Meanwhile, some of the rumored specs and features of MacBook Air and Pro 2016 are 11-inch and 13-inch screen displays, Intel Skylake processor, OS X El Capitan, Force Touch technology, Type-C USB port and longer battery life.
There is no official word from Apple yet about the aforementioned rumors.
