The New York Jets will host the Atlanta Falcons for a Week 2 NFL preseason game on Friday, August 21 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Atlanta won their preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans, 31-24, at home last Friday as rookie signal caller Marcus Mariota struggled to keep up in his very first NFL game, as per ESPN.
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan only played a single possession but executed perfectly for a touchdown drive as well.
New York is an unfortunate squad without starting QB Geno Smith, who suffered a broken jaw after being punched by his own teammate Ikemefuna Enemkpali in a locker room altercation two days before the game.
As a result, the Jets were routed by the Detroit Lions on the road, 3-23, via SB Nation. They are expected to again struggle against the Falcons even if Ryan would only play limited minutes.
Prediction: Falcons win
