Microsoft is expected to unveil the Lumia 950 XL on Oct. 6.

Microsoft is heavily rumored to hold a huge launch event in October to unleash the Lumia 950, the Lumia 950 X, the Surface Pro 4 and the Microsoft Band 2.

Apart from the aforementioned products, Microsoft may surprise its fans with the release of two more mysterious devices in October, The Verge reported. Speculations indicate that the Redmond giant may announce a thinner Xbox One gaming console or a Surface product other than the Surface Pro 4.

Since the Lumia 950, the Lumia 950 XL and the Surface Pro 4 have been in the rumors since several months, these devices are most likely to get announced in October. Satya Nadella, the Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft had also expressed earlier that the company will be announcing new premium smartphones at the end of 2015, Phone Arena reported.

The Lumia 950 is said to arrive with 5.2-inch Quad HD screen, Snapdragon 808 chip and 3 GB of RAM whereas the Lumia 950 XL is rumored to feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD screen, Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3 GB of RAM. Both will arrive with common features such as 32 GB native storage, microSD slot, USB Type-C connector, iris scanner and Windows 10 Mobile OS.

The Surface Pro 4 will not be an overhaul upgrade over the Surface Pro 3 in terms of design and appearance. However, the new model will be slimmer and lighter than Pro 3. It is likely to arrive with features like Skylake chip and Windows Hello support.

The Redmond giant is also expected to showcase the Microsoft Band 2 at the October unveil event. The rumor mill has not revealed details on the specifications of the device. However, it is likely to arrive with an ergonomic design.
