There are some killer features of the Lumia 950 XL that will be absent on the upcoming Google Nexus 2015 smartphone.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL phablet is the new rival for the Google Nexus 2015. Just as the Google is releasing Nexus 2015 smartphones in two versions, the 2015 LG Nexus 5 and the 2015 Huawei Nexus smartphones, the Redmond giant will also be releasing the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL.
The 2015 Huawei Nexus and Lumia 950 XL are rumored to release in October this year. However, both the devices will be running on the latest version of different operating systems. The rumor mill has already spilled the beans on the specs of Lumia 950 XL, but it very less information is available on the features of the 2015 Huawei Nexus.
Here are some of the Lumia 950 XL features that may not be available on the 2015 Huawei Nexus smartphone:
Iris Scanner
The Windows 10 Mobile OS includes a new biometric recognition called Windows Hello. It let users of Lumia 950 XL to unlock their handsets by scanning their iris, Windows Central reported. The 2015 Huawei Nexus will not be featuring but will be coming with fingerprint scanner security feature.
Continuum
Continuum is also a new Windows 10 Mobile feature that allows users to transform their smartphones into a full-fledged PC by connecting a monitor, a mouse and a keyboard to a docking station.
The Lumia 950 XL can be connected to the docking station through the USB Type-C port, The Verge reported. Such a feature is not expected to arrive on Android M for 2015 Huawei Nexus smartphone.
Advanced Camera
The Lumia 950 XL will be housing PureView technology powered 20 MP rear camera that will be snap stunning photos. It will be enabled with triple LED flash. Rumors have it that it will also feature Optical Image Stabilization.
MicroSD Slot
The LG Nexus 5 and the Motorola Nexus 6 do not feature a microSD slot. Even the 2015 Huawei Nexus is rumored to lack a microSD slot. The Lumia 950 XL will be featuring it and it will be supporting up to 128 GB of microSD.
Smart Pen And Cover
Optional accessories like a Surface Pen (stylus) and a smart cover will also be available for the Lumia 950 XL phablet. The smart cover will be featuring a circular see-though area for viewing incoming calls, messages and alerts. Users will be able to easily attach the stylus to the smart cover.
