‘Trainwreck’ Star LeBron James Goes One-On-One Against Young Filipino Basketball Star

NBA superstar LeBron James, 30, is currently in the Philippines for his Nike-sponsored tour. In Manny Pacquiao's home country, he had a one-on-one faceoff against Filipino basketball star Kobe Paras, 17, on Aug. 20, Thursday.

The one-on-one faceoff took place between the Cleveland Cavaliers player and the young Filipino basketball player took place in an exhibition game at Mall of Asia Arena, GMA News reported.

A two-time International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 Under-18 champion, Paras is set to join the UCLA Bruins for his NCAA career in the United States. Prior to this, he will have his senior season at Cathedral High in Los Angeles.

In June, former Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach and former Denver Nuggets coach Brian Shaw, 49, told ABS-CBN Sports that he knows that there is a lot of buzz in L.A. about a young player who is going to attend UCLA in 2016.

"I've seen some videos and I've heard about him," Shaw said of Paras. "There's obviously a lot of buzz and people are talking about him."

On the other hand, aside from basketball, James has also appeared in some TV series. In 2009, James appeared as himself in the "Give it a Little Bit" episode of the "Entourage" TV series and in the "SpongeBob SquarePants" TV series. He also lent his voice to Business in the 2011 TV series "The LeBrons."

Recently, James starred in Judd Apatow's "Trainwreck" with Amy Schumer, Bill Hader, Brie Larson, John Cena, Ryan Farrell, Colin Quinn, Devin Fabry, Carla Oudin, Josh Segarra, Robert E. Torres, Jim Florentine, Bobby Kelly, Dan Soder, Dave Attell, Vanessa Bayer and Tilda Swinton, among others.
