"The Black Mamba" star Kobe Bryant took to Twitter on Aug. 17, Monday, to respond to his critics saying he is too old to continue playing for NBA.
"My reaction to critics is the same as my reaction in the vid #excuseme," Bryant tweeted along with a video of how The Bucks failed to scare him.
On Aug. 14, retired NBA star and "NBA on TNT" analyst" Charles Barkley told Brian Scalabrine and Frank Isola on SiriusXm NBA Radio that he wants Bryant to play his last season.
"I hope he retires, because I don't want to see (him struggle)," Barkley said of Bryant. "I probably played two years too long. I hate to see Patrick Ewing, great as he was, struggle - I don't like seeing great players just out there, you know?"
The 1993 NBA Most Valuable Player added, "Michael Jordan playing for the Wizards, that didn't do anything for me. Kobe's obviously not going to walk away from $30 million. This should be like a farewell tour, play 20, 25 minutes a night."
Barkley played for the Philadelphia 76ers from 1984 to 1992, for the Phoenix Suns from 1992 to 1996 and for the Houston Rockets from 1996 to 200.
Bryant will be back playing for the Los Angeles Lakers after playing only 41 games during the past two seasons because of injury.
In other news, Bryant's "The Black Mamba" co-star Kanye West teamed up with Adidas Original for an all-black version of Yeezy Boost 350 shoes, which will be available on the market on Aug. 22, News York Daily News reported.
In 2011, Bryant and West co-starred in "The Black Mamba" along with Bruce Willis, Jamal Duff, John Duff, Onya Ibekwe, Anthony Barlow and Robert Rodriguez, among others.
